Archeological excavations

The X300 Laser Scanner field of view permits to scan also in archeological sites, thanks to its view inclination (-25°/+65°).
3D Laser Technology permits to “think innovative” concerning scan data archiving and analysis.

The point cloud obtained by laser scanning is a real database, which allow you to obtain and manage morphological and geometrical information about building materials.
Furthermore, you can calculate and foresee possible events of deterioration, caused by atmospheric agents or visitors’ negligence. All this in a no-invasive way of work.

Thanks to a high resolution of the point cloud, you can monitor the excavating in order to make easy documents collection about the different operation stages by archeologists.
In this way it is possible to export maps, sections and measures, in addition to verify erosion and degradation states of the site.
